Percussion

Percussion is a collection of 378 audio files containing 383 individual audio clips.

Unlike some other Soundopolis collections, most of these files are single samples, making them easy to drag and drop into your session without having to cut them apart. This will make your music sequencing workflow much smoother.

This collection gives you bells, cymbals, gongs, hand drums, kick, snare, ride, rotosound, rototom, gyro, and some bonus sounds such as waiter and bicycle bells, an old drum, a dropped cymbal, the drum of a banjo, and some electronic variants.

Each instrument comes loaded with variations including strength of hit, location of impact, speed of roll or scrape, as well as muted and unmuted hits. This type of variation gives you the ability to sequence samples, and still create a sense of live performance.

In addition to traditional methods of percussion performance, included in this collection are some very interesting drones and stingers created by closely mic’ing a cymbal, hitting or scraping it, and capturing sustained harmonics and overtones.

Percussionist and multimedia artist, Steve Joslin, performed some of these recorded samples.

This collection provides some new and interesting sounds, as well as a ton of variations so your soundtrack never gets old!

All Soundopolis tracks include metadata tags so they are easy to find using any search engine.
All tracks were recorded, edited, mastered, and packaged as 48k/24bit wave files.
