Snare Sound Effects

Snare sound effects for hits with a rattle in them. Snare drum strikes recorded hard and soft and at different spots on the head, alongside other percussion for building impacts. The spy and tension sets work snare into their build-ups. And there's a dreidel spun on top of a snare drum, which is exactly as odd as it sounds.

A snare gets its rattle from the wires stretched under the bottom head, and that buzz is what lets it cut through a busy mix. Most of the Percussion here comes as single strikes, which layer well under a punch or a door slam when an impact needs a crack on top. The trailer libraries go bigger, with processed impacts and risers for the loud moments. The dreidel recordings are a lovely oddity. The same spin is recorded on wood, steel and a snare drum, and on the Drum the wires join in.
