Drum Sound Effects

Drum sound effects for when a hit needs a skin on it. Percussion recorded mostly as single shots, struck soft and hard and in different spots, sits next to a frame drum of the kind shamans play in ceremonies, here as one-shots and loops, with its bead rolls and skin slides. Short stuff too. Game stingers and cartoon gags with a drum somewhere inside.

How hard a drum gets hit, and where, changes the sound a lot. The Percussion recordings work through both, so a run of hits in an edit doesn't sound like one file pasted over and over. The frame drum adds textures a stick alone won't give you, bead rolls and skin slides, and they sit nicely under a ritual or a slow, tense build. Elsewhere a drum is one ingredient among many. It turns up in achievement stingers for casual games and in cues for military menus, and cartoon gags borrow one too, all of it royalty-free for commercial work.
