Slice Sound Effects

Slice sound effects, clean or messy. The clean side is blades, from sword slices to energy blades. Messy means gore, with flesh tearing and bones breaking. Somewhere in between sit the vegetables, cut and chopped for cooking games and for horror. Sharp stuff, all of it.

Foley artists have cut cabbages and celery for gore for years, which is why vegetable libraries sit right next to the gore ones. Much easier than the real thing. For the blade itself, the sword and knife sets give swings and slices, with blocks and armour cuts for a proper fight, and more of the pointy end in Stab. Some blades are realistic and some stylised. Layer a clean swipe over a wet hit from the gore sets and a cut lands with real weight, and there's plenty more of the wet side in Blood. It suits horror and fighting games, and the odd cooking game too.
