Blood Sound Effects

Blood sound effects for when the wound needs to be heard as well as seen. Messy work. Wet bursts on impact and spatter up a wall. Slow drips onto a hard floor while the scene goes quiet, and the heavier squelch of a blade going in. Most of it sits inside gore and combat libraries built for horror and fighting games, where every hit is meant to leave a mark.

Blood is mostly liquid and timing. Timing matters most. Foley artists often make it with soaked sponges or thick syrup, squeezed and dropped close to the mic, then lay it a split second after the hit so the body reacts before it bleeds. The combat gore sets do that for you, with blood bursts already married to Flesh impacts and blade slices. For the stab itself there's Stab, and the rest of the mess lives in Gore. The quieter blood is often the scarier kind. A slow drip in an empty room tells the audience more than a splatter ever will.
