Flesh Sound Effects

Flesh sound effects for the moment something actually connects. Wet impacts and blade slices, blood bursts and bone crunches, plus bullets hitting a body and swords meeting more than a shield. It's the part of a fight that comes after the weapon. Messy work. It suits horror and melee combat, layered under the swing or the shot.

Flesh gets recorded a few different ways. For bullets it's one surface among many, with whizz-bys to go before it. For blades and fists it's the main event: wet strikes and finishing moves with Blood bursts on top. Sword duels add weapons hitting flesh as well as shields, recorded from several microphone positions. In a scene, flesh sits under the weapon and gives it somewhere to land, and if the hit needs a crunch, Bone Break has it. It all suits horror and the heavy end of melee combat.
