Splatter Sound Effects

Splatter sound effects, mostly the red kind. Blood splatter and bone breaking, a lot of it made the traditional way by smashing fruit and veg and layering the results. Proper splatter film material. There's a cleaner side too, with rain and crashing storm waves, for when the mess is only water.

Gore splatter is nearly always built rather than recorded from the real thing, which is lucky for everyone. Fruit and veg get smashed and torn, then layered with drips and bone snaps into something horrible. The bigger libraries sort it into Blood splatter and bone breaks, with chainsaw gore and zombie growls on the side. A single splat under a Stab sells the wound. A long, sloppy one sells the aftermath. The rain and water recordings do a gentler version of the same job, with storms and a hose splattering across whatever they land on.
