Description

The Mercedes AMG GT R sports car sound library includes 1191 sound fx in 51.09 gigabytes of audio. The collection features the sound of the 2018 German sports car’s 3,984 cc (243.0 cu in) twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine.

A total off 55 synchronized takes depict the vehicle from both onboard and exterior perspectives. The onboard microphones (16 perspectives, 17 channels) arrange microphones (including an Ambisonic microphone) at the exhaust, interior, and engine to capture driving at steady RPMs, with gearshifts, and ramps.

The 8 exterior perspectives (18 channels) showcase the car departing, passing by, and arriving through 4 locations at slow, medium, and fast speeds. Also featured are cornering, race driving, and the other 2 supplemental takes. The sound library includes extensive performed effects of switches, windows, doors, and more.

The package includes Reaper and Pro Tools sessions that arrange every take in easy-to-use sessions and Alitverb impulse response files from the car’s interior. Each clip is embedded with Soundminer, BWAV, and MacOS Finder metadata.
