The car and bike libraries record the engine from several synchronised positions at once, onboard and outside, so the balance can shift with the camera without the take changing. That's handy in an edit. Pass-bys and driving manoeuvres cover chases and adverts, and the onboard runs suit in-car shots where the RPM has to follow the driver's foot. The military side swaps speed for weight. A Tank recorded onboard and from outside, some of it in ambisonics, suits war films and games where the engine has to carry the vehicle's bulk.
