Sports Car Sound Effects

Sports Car sound effects recorded from the cabin and the kerb. Big engines idling with a lumpy burble, then revved hard and sent screaming past the microphones. Onboard pulls through the gears. Drifts and rolling passes. Old muscle cars sit alongside modern supercars, so you can match the sound to the decade. Loud, and mostly expensive.

Most of these libraries are multi-mic recordings of real cars, with microphones on the exhaust and inside the cabin at the same time. That lets a cut move from an Onboard shot to a roadside pass without the car changing character. The differences between engines are the whole point. A big American engine burbles and thumps, while a rotary buzzes like an angry chainsaw. Detail sells it, like the clunk of each Gearshift and the crackle on the overrun. Racing games and car adverts lean on these hardest.
