Porsche Sound Effects

Porsche sound effects for anyone who can tell a Porsche from just another fast car. It's the engine. Hard and a bit raw, recorded here from inside the cabin and right at the exhaust. There's classic stuff and modern stuff, plus a proper race car and an SUV for the school run scenes.

Road cars and track cars both turn up here, the track ones much like those in Race Car. A lot of these libraries go further than the driving. Alongside starts, idles, revs, pass-bys and onboard runs, you get interior and exterior foley plus the mechanical and electrical sounds, so a whole scene can be built around the car. Doors included. The classic Porsche sound comes from the flat engine sat at the back of the sports cars, and Boxer has more of that layout. They turn up in adverts and motoring documentaries as much as in racing games.
