GT3 Sound Effects

GT3 sound effects from the real cars. Mostly on track. An RS gets mics all over it, inside and out. Race cars run on track and test days with the mics rolling through the sequential shifts. There's a full hot lap too, heard from inside the car. Then trackside, sports cars at a private event tear past the finish line and through a tight corner.

Onboard a Race Car, the separate mics are the useful part. Several cars come with engine, exhaust and interior on their own channels, so the exhaust can lead a chase cut and the cabin can come up when the camera sits with the driver. Most of these carry the engine behind the driver, which shapes how the cabin takes sound. Outside, there are pass-bys heard from different positions by the Race Track. The ambisonic takes come from a private event with hardly any crowd chatter, so they sit cleanly around a player in a racing game or a VR scene.
