The BMW S1000XR is an adventure-sport touring motorcycle powered by a high-performance 999cc inline 4-cylinder engine derived from the S1000RR superbike. Blending upright adventure ergonomics with aggressive superbike power, its acoustic signature is fierce and dynamic, combining screaming high-RPM inline-four intake roar with sharp exhaust pops, throttle body response and mechanical precision. This dedicated sound library captures the full acoustic presence of BMW’s premier adventure-sport model, serving as an essential audio toolkit for high-speed highway pursuits, dynamic touring scenes, game audio vehicle physics and cinematic sound design layering.
Whether you need phase-aligned dual-perspective driving loops, steady-state RPM holds or detailed multi-take foley, the BMW S1000XR library provides a high-resolution, production-ready collection.
Synchronized Dual-Perspective Tracking: Features phase-aligned multi-channel recordings capturing separate focal points from the engine perspective (inline-four superbike intake induction, mechanical valvetrain chatter and throttle body dynamics) and the exhaust perspective (aggressive tailpipe pitch, exhaust pressure sweeps, decel pops and low-end idle rumble).
Static RPM Holds & Technical Maneuvers: Archives steady-state RPM step recordings (3000, 4000 and 5000 RPM) across both perspectives for seamless game engine granular synthesis, paired with dynamic maneuvers, including corner turns, U-turns, variable acceleration runs, street pass-bys and complete start/idle/stop cycles.
Pristine High-Resolution Capture: Recorded at 192 kHz / 32-bit float using the high-headroom Sound Devices MixPre-6 II field recorder. Captured with a precision mic array consisting of the RØDE NTG1 shotgun, Line Audio Omni1 omnidirectional mic and ultra-low-noise FEL Clippy XLR EM272 omnidirectional microphones.
Complete Onboard Foley & Electrical Utilities: Contains 93 total WAV files covering essential mechanical and electrical interactions, including fuel pump priming hums, footrests, fuel tank latches, side stand deployments, ignition keys, under-seat storage hatches, windshield adjustment mechanisms and switchgear.
