Gas Tank Sound Effects

Gas Tank sound effects from real cars and motorbikes. Fuel caps unscrewed and clicked shut, and filler flaps popping open. Recorded as part of full foley sessions on everything from small city cars to adventure bikes. Small details, but they're the bit a close-up catches.

Vehicle foley libraries that go deep record every part you can touch, and the fuel tank is a favourite for close-ups. A cap twisting off has a satisfying ratchet. A motorbike tank gives a hollow knock. These come from the same sessions as the doors and the Fuel Pump, so they match the vehicle in the rest of the scene. Bikes often add a Side Stand and footrests to round out the foley. Road movies and filling station scenes need exactly this.
