The Japanese 1943 Mitsubishi Zero A6M5 Reisen, No 61-120 fighter aircraft sound collection includes 212 sound clips in 19.44 gigabytes of audio.
It features the sound of a Nakajima Sakae 21, 14-cylinder 1,130-hp air-cooled radial engine from World War II.
The collection of 12 synchronized takes showcases both onboard and exterior takes of taking off, landing, taxiing, startups, shutdowns, as well as stationary idles. The 8 onboard perspectives arrange microphones in the interior and at the exhaust. 24 more exterior perspectives arranged around the airfield to capture flyovers.
Also included are performed effects of switches, fuel pumps, flap cranks, canopy movement, and much more.
The package includes custom mixes of the onboard perspectives, Pro Tools and Reaper mixing sessions, 18+ fields of Soundminer metadata, BWAV, and iXML metadata and MacOS Finder comments, and metadata import files for keywords in seven languages: English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.
