Zombie Sound Effects

Zombie sound effects, from a lone groan to a whole horde. Growls and that wet stuff in the back of the throat, plus plenty of gore for when they finally catch someone, with bones crunching and the odd chainsaw going in. Some are aggressive. Some just groan. There's eerie atmosphere and jump scares to put around them too.

Zombie voices are nearly always performed. Someone groans, gargles and strains into a microphone, then the sound gets pitched, layered and roughed up until nothing friendly is left. You get both ends: recorded vocal takes and fully designed creatures, plus horde sounds for a crowd of them. For a lone zombie in a quiet room, keep the Growl close and dry. For a horde, stack several at different distances and let them overlap. When the bite lands, the Gore side takes over with bone crunches and wet tearing. Other Monster voices turn up too, werewolves and gorgons among them. They suit horror films, survival games and anything with a basement.
