Shield Sound Effects

Shield sound effects for the front line. Swords and axes crash into shields while armour takes hit after hit. Blocks too. Then whole medieval battles, knights on charging horses with battle cries all round, and real swordsmen duelling, recorded from several perspectives. The fantasy and sci-fi end brings spells and buffs, plus futuristic weapons and warrior voices.

A shield hit is mostly about the material. Wood thuds and splinters, metal rings, and a big round shield taking a Sword sounds nothing like a small steel buckler catching a dagger. The Medieval libraries cover the real end, from duels to full battles, with the strikes, blocks and Armor impacts that sell a hit at close range. For games, the melee packs come with plenty of variations, so a block doesn't repeat every time the player raises a shield. The sci-fi and spell libraries suit the other kind, the force field or magic ward.
