The “Squeaky Gates” sound effects library contains a vast collection of wood and metal gate creak, groan, open & close, spring, mechanism and latch sounds. They were captured using both a shotgun microphone for authentic gate sounds, and a contact microphone giving the opportunity for sonic manipulation. Recorded in 96kHz the deep metallic groans lend themselves to cinematic editing.
