This sound library is a collection of ambisonic recordings of different desert environments in Bolivia. I travel around Bolivia to capture some pure and immersive ambiences.
Some ambiences were taken in a community living in the area of a recently dried lake (Lago Popo, which was the second biggest lake of Bolivia after Titicaca) in the Oruro Department.
These ambiences contain some llamas, some sheep, but overall very calm desert ambiences. The rest of these ambiences have been recorded in the area of the famous salt flats in the south of Bolivia.
I did the salt flats tour in the reverse way to have a lot less people. There are ambiences of the salt flats, and also of many lagoons surrounding the salt flats. In those ambiences, you will find some winds, birds, geysers and some really cool ambiences of flamingos herds. These are pristine ambiences of wilderness with no trace of a human being.
Files come in B-Format AmbiX and stereo. With the free SoundField SurroundZone 2 plugin, you can convert B-format files to the format you want (stereo, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0, 6.1, 7.0, 7.1).
These recordings are totally raw. They have not been processed with anything.
