Twist Sound Effects

Twist sound effects for anything that turns under a hand. Bottle caps and jar lids twisted off and on, pill bottles opened with a click of the cap. Small, precise stuff. Then the bigger twists: metal tortured until it screeches, old doors that creak and rattle, and vegetables and branches twisted apart for the gorier jobs.

Most twists are tiny bits of foley, a lid coming off a jar or a cap turning on a pill bottle, and the detail is in the clicks and pops as the cap gives. Plenty of caps and lids go on and off here, plus tablets crushed and the odd Drop onto different surfaces. At the messier end, Vegetable twisting and tearing is the raw stuff of gore foley, where wrung-out veg stands in for something far worse. Metal goes its own way. The tortured metal recordings twist into screeches and impacts that suit armour and creatures.
