Tube Sound Effects

Tube sound effects from underground trains and the busy stations they run through. Trains pulling into platforms with rails screeching, then onboard rides with the announcements over the PA. Crowds included. A few libraries take the word another way entirely, so there are creams from the bathroom shelf and bubbles underwater too.

An underground journey is several places rolled together, and the recordings follow it through. On the Platform there are arrivals and Tannoy announcements. Onboard, rides come from a seat or the end of the carriage, and the doors open and close along the way. Nice and noisy. Wider transport recordings in surround add buses and black cabs, so the journey can carry on above ground. It all suits thrillers and city dramas, and the interior and exterior train ambiences sit well under dialogue.
