Sea Sound Effects

Sea sound effects for calm days and properly rough ones. Gentle lapping and harbour ripples, then waves breaking hard against rocks. Some recordings keep the shore around them, with birds and insects nearby or a boat knocking about. Then there are the storms. It's what a coastline scene sits on, whether that's a quiet beach or a ship in trouble.

The sea is loudest where it hits something, so a lot of these recordings sit right at the edge, with waves on rocks and lapping along the Shoreline. Some of the wave recordings loop, which helps when a beach shot runs long. The calm takes work as a bed under dialogue. The rough storm swells and heavy surf can carry a scene on their own, and there's more of that side in Surf. Underwater gets a look in as well, with bubbles and diving gear for the moment the camera goes under. The nature recordings put sea waves alongside rain and thunder, handy when a coast needs weather. All of it is royalty-free for film and games.
