Hollow Sound Effects

Hollow sound effects for anything with empty space inside it. Tubes recorded from the inside, footsteps on hollow surfaces, deep metal impacts with haunting creaks, and underwater recordings full of bubbles. Airy whooshes too. It suits horror and sci-fi, where a space needs to feel a good deal emptier than it is.

Hollow is mostly about resonance, and the tube recordings go straight for it, with shotgun microphones placed inside bamboo and metal tubes. Clever trick. Drones and strikes come out of that, and there's more in the same vein over in Resonant. The metal impacts lean cinematic, deep bass hits and booms with haunting creaks for horror and sci-fi trailers, while the underwater side pairs raw hydrophone takes with designed impacts and propellers. For something to walk on, the footstep library covers different surfaces and footwear, hollow ones included, with armour and gear foley on top.
