Airy Sound Effects

Airy sound effects for things that are mostly air. Thin swipes and swooshes, smooth fly-ins and whip-bys, swirling sci-fi movement, and bullets whizzing past with an airy edge rather than a tonal one. Mostly whooshes. Then the cheeky end, where the air comes out of a person instead: burps, and the other one.

Whooshes with plenty of air in them are the light end of transition work. A thin swipe sells a quick camera move, a menu sliding in or a hand flicking past, without the weight of a big designed whoosh. Thicker ones carry a bigger move. The bullet whizz-bys come in airy and tonal versions, so a near miss can be airy or pitched to suit the mix. Swirls and sci-fi movements work for space scenes and interfaces, and some sit close to Hollow. The burps and wind are there for comedy and creatures, handy for gross-out cartoon moments as much as for a monster's belly.
