Grenade Launcher Sound Effects

Grenade Launcher sound effects, from the hollow thump of the launch to the blast downrange. Real-world and futuristic weapons, shots and the reloads between them, plus the explosions they set off. Heavy and satisfying. Sci-fi and steampunk versions sit alongside for games where the grenade is a little more inventive.

What sound does a grenade launcher make? A fairly quiet one at the launch. It's a deep, hollow thump, more like a giant cork than a gunshot, because the round leaves the barrel fairly slowly. The bang comes later, out where it lands. So a launcher is really a pair of sounds, the thump at the muzzle and the explosion at the far end, with a gap between them that tells the audience how far the round went. Between shots there's the Reload, and the explosions here cover the landing, from urban detonations to Artillery and debris. Handy for any shooter where the big gun comes out.
