Grain Sound Effects

Grain sound effects from the sack and from the circuit board. Real groats falling and pouring, in raw and processed versions, plus recordings from a chocolate factory. Electronics next, where things get messier. Glitch grains built from raw data and radio static, ready for screens tearing and systems falling over.

Real grain can do a lot of jobs in foley, standing in for sand or falling debris, and the groat recordings come raw for that, or processed for sci-fi and design work. Electronic grains work the other way. The glitch libraries are built from raw data and interference, and short glitches stack well, so a screen tear or a corrupted file can be made from plenty of them. For blending, the movement and magic libraries add organic and designed Layer material, liquids and energy among it. The tape and radio foley covers the mechanical side of old media.
