Gameboy Sound Effects

Gameboy sound effects with that proper handheld crunch. Retro chip sounds built the Gameboy way, covering jumps, coins, power-ups, menu bleeps, weapons and little vehicles. Then the stranger stuff: glitches made with Gameboy trackers, and the electromagnetic hum picked up straight off consoles and gadgets. Small and bleepy, with bags of character.

The Gameboy sound comes from a very small chip, mostly square-wave beeps with a burst of noise for hits. Those limits are the charm, and the chip-based sets here stay inside them for Retro games and pixel-art menus. The glitch recordings make good UI errors and malfunctions. Crunchy little things.
