Drive By Sound Effects

Drive By sound effects for anything that comes past and keeps going. Race cars and old classics, plus a big motorcycle. Emergency sirens recorded arriving and pulling away. Tanks and a military truck roll by too, and there's even a racing powerboat, for a drive-by on water.

A drive-by lives on the Doppler: the engine note sits high as the vehicle comes in and drops as it passes, while the loudness peaks right beside the camera. The sirens show it best, recorded at several speeds and distances, so an ambulance can tear past close or go by a street away. Many of the car and bike libraries pair their drive-bys with Onboard recordings of the same vehicle. That lets a chase cut from the cabin to the roadside without the engine changing character. Idles and starts come with them, along with plenty of Engine Rev takes, which helps when a car sits at the lights before pulling off again.
