Deny Sound Effects

Deny sound effects for the button that won't let you through. Access refused, or a spell the player can't cast yet. Most come from UI libraries that pair them with select and approve sounds, so the no and the yes match. Some lean futuristic and some lean fantasy RPG. They suit any interface that has to say no often.

A deny gets pressed over and over when a player is stuck, so it pays to keep it short and not too harsh. Pairing helps. The click menu sets put deny next to select and approve, so a Select and its refusal belong to the same design. The RPG menu sets go further, with deny next to access and skill sounds for a whole game menu. Futuristic interface sets cover beeps and telemetry for Hi Tech screens. That suits a security panel turning somebody away at the door, or a terminal locked until the right code goes in.
