Description

A wooden pulley with thick hemp rope was recorded from multiple angles and distances with a variety of microphones.

Performances include pulley threading, wood and rope creaks and constriction, wood with rope tension and release along with metal-on-metal clanks and various other sounds a pirate might hear while sailing the mighty seas.

Each filename contains a unique identifier, a performance-group identifier, and a detailed performance description. Microphone information is provided in file metadata.

Sound files have not been compressed and were processed with minimal noise reduction.
