Metal Clank Sound Effects

Metal Clank sound effects for heavy things knocking together. Proper heft. Chains dropping onto concrete, iron doors and locks slamming home, machine parts rolling across the floor and a blacksmith's hammer on the anvil. A clank is duller than a clang and heavier than a clink, the sound of real weight. Factories and dungeons both need plenty of it.

What makes a clank is a hard hit with almost no ring. Thud, then rattle. Thick iron and loose parts do it best, rattling against each other after they land rather than ringing out like a bell. The heavier libraries here are full of it, with big pieces slammed and dragged across hard floors, and Metal Rattle and Metal Scrape cover what happens after the hit. The blacksmith recordings add hammer on anvil, while the squeaks and moans give horror a slow, groaning version of the same material.
