Retro Game SFX Sound Library

In this library you will find high quality retro game sound effects, which I created with the attempt to make them sound new and fresh without loosing the much beloved nostalgic qualitys of the classic sounds.

While most producers of such sound effects use digital or analog synthesizers, I took a very different approach: I discovered, that two quite esoteric boutique pedals in my collection are capable of producing fascinating multi-layered sounds, sparkling, chirpy, raw and explosive, that instantly took me back to the era of retro game consoles and pixel games. Although that was just a side-function of these pedals, I ended up spending a few days recording the full range of nuances and colors that came up when putting the old processing chips under pressure.

The result is this sound library: A uniqe collection of chirps, bleeps, sweeps, swirls, rings, typical pixel-like sounds and sounds in the style of retro slot game consoles, recorded analog, edited individually and mastered with SSL channel strips. All sounds are featured in the preview – what you hear is what you get – and every file is named and classified to help you to get a better overview.
