Electric motor sound effects captured as electromagnetic field recordings from working shipboard and industrial equipment, covering start-ups, shutdowns, idles, stepper glitches, grinders, blowers, pumps and compressors at 96kHz.
Machina from the Sky is a collection of electromagnetic field recordings captured from electric motors of various sizes and applications.
The library features sounds recorded from active shipboard and industrial equipment, ranging from compact handheld battery-powered tools to large high-power industrial motors. The material captures electromagnetic activity produced during motor operation, including start-ups, shutdowns, and changes in operating modes.
All recordings were made from real, working equipment and reflect the natural behavior of electric motors, with no synthesis or artificial sound generation involved. The sounds have a distinct mechanical and energetic character, making them well suited for precise, detail-oriented sound design focused on machinery and technical motion.
The material has been carefully selected and prepared with an emphasis on signal clarity, structural readability, and practical usability in professional sound design workflows.
This library is well suited for:
machinery, mechanical, and technical sound design
sci-fi devices, drives, and energy systems
short electro-mechanical elements, layers, and accents
film, games, trailers, and experimental projects
All sounds are organized according to the UCS standard, feature clean and consistent metadata, and are fully Soundminer compatible for fast and efficient browsing.
