Zap Sound Effects

Zap sound effects in all their flavours. Electric zaps and crackles from real coil recordings sit next to laser blasts and sci-fi weapons, and then come the energy attacks of anime fights and the cartoon kind that goes with a boing. Most are short and sharp, though a few hit like a punch.

A zap is a short burst of energy, so most of its character sits in the first instant and the fizz after it. Electric zaps from coil recordings crackle like real Electricity, which suits plasma balls and stun guns. Sci-fi zaps are cleaner and more designed, built for blasters and a Laser fight. Magic and anime zaps carry more weight, often with a whoosh into the hit. The cartoon ones are all about timing. In games, the short ones sit well on hits and menu feedback, and every library here is royalty-free.
