Snap Sound Effects

Snap sound effects for anything that breaks or clicks in a hurry. Bones cracking in a fight and wood splitting under a hammer. Switches and buttons snapping into place, tight and crisp, plus the quick tap of a game menu. Short, sharp sounds. Gone in a blink.

A snap is all transient, a sharp edge with almost nothing after it, which is why it cuts through a busy mix so well. In fight scenes, a snap layered under a punch turns a hit into a break, and a Bone snap is a classic of gore foley, usually made with celery or carrots. Mechanical snaps are cleaner. The switch and lever recordings give you crisp clicks at different strengths, good for props and cockpits. Game interface sets borrow the same idea for menus that feel physical. For wood, crafting libraries cover planks snapping when something gets built or smashed. Pair a snap with a Crunch when a break needs more weight.
