Tear Sound Effects

Tear sound effects for paper and cloth being pulled apart. Pages ripped out, cardboard torn open, T-shirts split down the seam, tape peeled off the roll with that sticky screech. Then the grim version, flesh stretching and splitting as a creature mutates. Slow tears and fast rips sound completely different. Both are here.

A tear is a long string of tiny breaks, and its speed sets the mood. A slow tear sounds careful or tense, while a fast Rip reads as anger or excitement. The paper and Cardboard recordings cover page tears and boxes being opened, close enough to hear the fibres go. Cloth is softer and more varied, from tees ripped at the seam to hook and loop straps pulled apart, and the Fabric sets keep the movement around it. Tape gets a whole library to itself, every pull and peel. Horror leans on the fleshy tears. Comedy loves a trouser split.
