Parking Lot Sound Effects

Parking Lot sound effects from the open tarmac between the car and the door. Distant traffic washing past, the odd car rolling through, a plane overhead and birds at the edges. Mostly American, from city lots to quiet suburbs. Wide and a bit empty. Just what a scene needs when nobody's talking yet.

A parking lot is mostly about what's around it. Near a Freeway the traffic is a constant roar. In the Suburban lots it drops away to birds, distant dogs and the occasional mower. The recordings range across those, from Southern California streets to Chicago's forest preserves and small-town America, with long takes that sit happily under dialogue. Some catch planes passing over, handy near an airport. Film and TV use them for arrivals, stakeouts and talks in the car, and games use them to fill open urban maps.
