Freeway Sound Effects

Freeway sound effects bring big roads full of traffic, day and night. Long takes of freeway and highway ambience sit next to wider city backgrounds with helicopters overhead. Built to run under a scene. The pass-bys double as raw material for sci-fi whooshes and transitions, and the room tones cover the quiet inside once the car doors shut.

Freeway is the American word for a motorway, and the libraries cover both. Most are long ambience takes, a traffic bed for a city background with the occasional Helicopter passing over. Plenty of length. The pass-bys of trucks and cars cut well as a vehicle speeding past on a Highway, or as source for a whoosh. Wider sets move into city streets and the desert outside town, which suits a road movie or a crime drama set on the edge of a big city.
