Orc Sound Effects

Orc sound effects belong to the big, ugly brutes at the front of every fantasy army. Loud and rude. Guttural grunts and war cries before a charge, and the heavy breathing of something that has been marching for days. There are deaths and pain too, because orcs rarely last long against the hero. Much of it is performed by voice actors pushing their throats as far as they'll go.

An orc voice usually starts as a human performance, low and growly, then gets pitched down a little and layered with animal snorts so it sits between man and beast. It's mostly throat. On the size scale it lands between a Goblin, smaller and squeakier, and a Troll, which is slower and heavier again. The monster libraries give you orcs in action, from marching in groups to dying in battle, along with background loops to set the scene. RPGs and strategy games use them constantly, since there's rarely just a single orc.
