NPC Sound Effects

NPC sound effects for the people who fill a game world. Merchants and guards with lines to say, soldiers and police officers barking orders, villains who like the sound of their own voice, and the classic talking blips that play while dialogue text scrolls. Plenty of grunts and reactions too. Your quest giver is in here somewhere.

Some games voice their NPCs properly, with full lines of Dialogue for greetings, shop chat, warnings and goodbyes, recorded by actors, with radio versions for soldiers and police. Others use made up speech: gibberish blips and chatter that give each character a voice without anyone needing to translate it. Both are here. The made up kind is a gift for small teams, since the same sound works in every language. Many come with effort sounds as well, so the same guard who greets you can grunt when hit. For the bad guys, the Villain performances bring taunts and the odd monologue. RPGs and open world games use them most.
