Gasoline Sound Effects

Gasoline sound effects from engines that run on the stuff, old and new. Early gasoline engines with spinning flywheels and explosive combustion, and wartime tanks recorded inside and out. Proper old iron. Steam engines too. At the modern end there's an endurance race car, from the engine to the cabin.

Early gasoline engines worked on the same principles as a modern engine and sounded very different, with spinning flywheels and the mechanics right there in the recording. The wartime tanks ran on petrol too, and they're covered inside and out, from mechanical operations in the hull to pass-bys at different speeds. Heavy going. The steam engines burn Coal as well as gasoline, from trains to tractors, with foley recorded alongside the real machines. The race car sits at the other end, a modern engine taken from several angles, with the exhaust and the cabin recorded too.
