Flame Sound Effects

Flame sound effects from a small flicker up to a bonfire in full roar. Crackles and pops. Campfires and stoves are recorded indoors and out. Some fires get lit and then put out, and all sorts of things get added to the flames to hear what they do. The designed sets turn fire into whooshes and impacts for spells and trailers.

Real fire changes with its size and what's feeding it, and the recordings follow that through different stages of Burning, from a fire being started to it being quenched. Some of it loops. That matters for a Campfire scene, where the fire has to sit under a whole conversation without a join showing, and some sets bring the forest around it too. Small crackles and pops suit a fireplace in a quiet room. Designed fire is a different job altogether, with whooshes and impacts that suit spell casts and dungeon traps.
