Bus Sound Effects

Bus sound effects from both sides of the window. Outside, the diesel growl as a bus pulls away and the hiss of the brakes at the stop. Inside, the rattle and hum of a long ride, with a chime for the next stop. City buses, mostly. They come wrapped in traffic and passing crowds, just as they sound out on the street.

Buses usually turn up as part of a bigger picture rather than on their own. The libraries here reflect that, with buses passing on busy roads and rumbling through city recordings alongside Traffic and sirens. Air brakes are the giveaway. Nothing else on the road sighs quite like that. The interior recordings are the quieter side, engine drone and rattling fittings for a long journey or a late ride home, and there's more of the street around them in City. Films use buses for the character who's just missed one, and games use them to fill out an open city.
