Burst Sound Effects

Burst sound effects, short and violent. Gunfire in bursts from rifles and submachine guns, old and futuristic. Flamethrowers coughing out a blast of fire. Magic exploding in a flash of elemental energy, and wood or glass bursting apart in a crash. Loud, and over almost before it starts.

For guns, a burst is a short run of automatic fire, a few rounds and then the trigger lets go. It's its own sound, because the mechanism and the tail behave differently from a Single Shot repeated. The firearm libraries here record bursts properly, with period weapons fired at several distances and modern and sci-fi guns with matching handling. Submachine Gun bursts are tight and fast. Machine Gun bursts are heavier and rattle on longer. Beyond guns, the word covers anything sudden, like a flamethrower blast or a crate breaking apart.
