Bolt Action Sound Effects

Bolt Action sound effects for rifles worked by hand. Fire, then work the bolt back and forward before the next shot. Sniper rifles and old military service rifles are both here, fired at different distances, with reloads and handling recorded alongside. Slow and deliberate, the way a bolt gun should be.

A bolt action Reload is a sequence of small metal moves, so the handling matters as much as the shot. These libraries record both. The shots come from many microphone positions, near and far, some in ambisonics, and the field recordings keep long and short tails from different locations, so the tail can match the place on screen. Sniper sets, with more over in Sniper Rifle, add their own mechanical actions, and the wider gun collections cover reloads and operations across many firearms. They suit war films and shooters, and the slower pace of a hunting scene where the gap between shots matters.
