Blast Sound Effects

Blast sound effects, from real detonations to energy beams. Artillery shells landing and urban explosions with debris raining down after. Then the fantasy kind, elemental magic and anime beam attacks that light up the screen. Sci-fi cannons charge and fire. A few go off underwater. Most of it is built to shake a room.

A blast needs a sharp front and a long tail, and the space it happens in shapes both. Real Detonation recordings from the field give you the honest version, often at a distance so the echo comes with them. Designed explosions push further, with layers of glass and metal, and even underwater versions. On the fantasy side a blast is Energy more than air, a beam that charges first and a Shock Wave that rolls out after. Elemental whooshes lead into the impacts, so a fireball can fly before it lands. Action films need the real kind. Anime and sci-fi games use the rest, often in the same fight.
