Air Sound Effects

Air sound effects in most of the forms it takes on screen. Air as an element, for spells in elemental magic. Air as movement, in whooshes and flutters that sell a fast cut. Air under pressure, from compressors and valves to bubbles in a tank. And air rushing past, through a car window or roaring out of a thruster.

Air is hard to record on its own because it only makes a sound when it hits something. That's why so much of it here is really something else: a designed Whoosh for a cut, wind caught through a car window, a hiss as air pressure is released. For magic, the elemental sets put air spells next to fire, water, ice and Earth, so a mage can switch elements and still sound like the same game. The designed aircraft sounds cover engine whistles and thrusters for sci-fi and action. Mix a little real wind under any of them and they feel more physical.
