Tripod Sound Effects

Tripod sound effects, the alien war machine kind. Giant machines grinding and hissing as they move, steered by something with tentacles, while sirens wail, buildings collapse and the ground shakes. Big and dark. Military gear handling and metal impacts sit alongside for when the humans fight back.

An alien tripod is built from layers, a mechanical body with something alive inside it. The libraries here cover both. Mechanical movement and pneumatic hiss suit the legs, and organic monster textures suit whatever is steering. Explosions and falling buildings take care of the street below. For the soldiers there's ammo handling and the odd Shell Casing drop, while metal drops and slides bring real Physics to the wreckage. Dark atmospheres and alien rumbles set the mood before anything appears on screen.
