Tin Sound Effects
Tin sound effects, thin metal at its noisiest. A big olive oil tin pushed and pressed until it bends and folds. Rain on a tin shed, recorded from inside. A damaged cymbal, cut up and bowed. Metal tubes struck with the microphones right inside them. Cheap metal, big character.

The olive oil tin is pure design source, bending, folding and crumpling that can be pitched down into a ship's hull or kept small for a can underfoot. Rain on a tin roof is a texture of its own. The shed recordings were made from inside, with distant thunderstorms in the same set. The bowed cymbal pieces give deep rumbles and shimmery highs, Atonal by nature, which suits sci-fi and horror. Inside the tubes there are resonant strikes and hollow drones. Dice rolled and handled turn up as well, with more in Die. They suit sci-fi ships and junkyards, and any scene with rain on a cheap roof.
