Street Ambience Sound Effects

Street Ambience sound effects for putting a scene on a real street. Traffic passing, people walking by, distant sirens and trains, rain hissing on the pavement. Busy sidewalks in New York, quiet suburbs far from the centre, rooftops looking down on it all. Long, steady beds. Lay one under the dialogue and the studio disappears.

A street ambience has to sit still enough to edit under and move enough to feel alive. These recordings are long and mostly steady, with traffic and footsteps rising and falling in the background, and some loop cleanly so a scene can run as long as it needs. The distant recordings from Prague are softer, trains and sirens far off, and the rainy streets add wet tyres. For busier scenes there's City Traffic. Films and open world games use them constantly.
